Environmentally Friendly Products

Concrete Landscaping Why concrete, you might ask. Now more than ever people are starting to realize the impact that is put on the environment producing and transporting the products that we buy. Part of our mission as a business is to minimize that impact with a process that is as sustainable as possible.
The materials that we use in our concrete mix are some of the most abundant on earth, most of which are mined right here in Salt Lake City eliminating lengthy transport. We've cut 30% of our Portland cement content by substituting in fly ash (a by-product of coal burning power plants). Once poured, our concrete cures naturally and emits nothing more than trace amounts of water. On our countertops we use low VOC water based sealers and seal our fireplaces with food grade beeswax.
It doesn't stop at our mix though. In the shop we recycle what we can and reuse when we can. In the winter we heat our work space with a clean burning pellet stove. The pellets are made locally from waste wood. For transportation we use a clean burning natural gas vehicle helping further our commitment to clean air, a problem which plagues the Salt Lake Valley.
We acknowledge that while no material is perfectly "green", we will strive to be the next closest thing. To help maintain a livable planet and look forward to a prosperous future.
